Months of Festival in Turkey
Spring is a beautiful season in Turkey. The weather in Turkey is close to ideal, as it is warm, but not too hot. The flowers begin to bloom all across the country, so you will have pleasant scenery to look at in cities and in the outskirts.
This is a great time to visit most parts of Turkey – including Istanbul, and the areas inland. Be careful about visiting the Turquoise Coast, as a number of resorts and hotels might still be closed from the winter. If you’re visiting Turkey during these months, there are a couple of festivals to keep you occupied, including the International Istanbul Film Festival in April, and the Hidrellez Festival celebrating the arrival of spring through gypsy music, which happens in May.
